Windows Explorer is soaking up 2 GB of RAM by itself while scanning two partitions, one NTFS and one exFAT. Curiously, even when the physical memory in use hit 99% earlier, the system didn't thrash and I was still able to browse the Web using Internet Explorer without hiccups.
