    F12 on IE9 seems to say that it's broken on IE<=7.

    Annnnnnd the experiments page will be fixed when I get home. Thanks for the report!

    I think I broke something big-time with IE before 8 with the last update to the CSS. Hmm... I think I need to separate out the Media Queries into a second stylesheet.

    And one other thing that they need to know is that MPEG-d and .h264 support are as widespread as it can get these days.

    Now to think whether to fix the layout issues in IE7 and older in my site.

    Heh. That said, the Flash video embed defaults to FLV, huh?

    Also, I've been thinking of this. You have an old laptop from the bygone age, huh? Try visiting TwigZone with it. I want to see whether there are either:
    - FOUC (Flash of Unstyled Content)
    - Severe performance issues

    By the way, when will the project be out?

    Also, I think I love CSS3 Media Queries. (Try reducing the window width on TwigZone.)

    The nice thing about the video tag is you can fallback, and you can fallback that fallback.

    Sure, but you need a super velocity to break the gravity. Maybe there's an invisible wall somewhere, too.

    No, the gravity can rip the ship apart though because of how fast you will spin upon the slightest movement. SO there's no heat.

    Let's see...

    For audio codecs:
    WAV: Too inefficient, that IE9 dropped support. (It used to have support very early in its life.) You certainly don't want a file that's 10x the size of the compressed one...
    MP3: Patent issues and royalties...
    Advanced Audio Coding/M4A: Royalty-free for people that just use it, but for browser makers, they'd have to pay a one-time fee. Seems like Mozilla and Opera can't afford it.
    Ogg Vorbis: It mostly works, but Microsoft and Apple are hesitant.

    For video codecs:
    WebM: Apple's the one stuck. One can install a VP8 codec easily to make it work in IE9. There's also the hold-out Firefox 3.x... (shouldn't it be dead by now?)
    H.264: It's super-efficient, but, yeah, patents and all... (There's a workaround for Firefox by the way of a Microsoft plug-in.) Chrome seems to be dropping support soon.
    Ogg Theora: A free in every sense alternative, but isn't supported by Apple and Microsoft. (Chances are if there's a Media Foundation codec for this, IE9 will support it.)

    The main problem is that the HTML5 specification doesn't mandate what codec to use. At least it allows multiple sources, provided that all MIME types are correct.

    Hmm...

    I think I need to separate the HTML5 Audio page.

    That thing is probably causing unnecessary loads to the experiments page. Loading everything in that page means 4.35 MB of data loaded... Hmm...

    Also, if there's a method to test it out, I'd like to have http://twigzone.floatzel.net/forumth.../vanillite.css test-drive'd.

    I wonder whether it's possible for it to have the following stuff to be inserted in the <head> element:

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://twigzone.floatzel.net/csssandpaper/shared/js/EventHelpers.js">
    </script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://twigzone.floatzel.net/csssandpaper/shared/js/textshadow.js">
    </script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://twigzone.floatzel.net/csssandpaper/shared/js/cssQuery-p.js">
    </script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://twigzone.floatzel.net/csssandpaper/shared/js/cssSandpaper.js">
    </script>
    Should make text-shadow to work in every single version of IE. That'd mean that the site would look nice in IE8 and 9!

    Also, the original PDN file for the banner:

    There seems to be a problem with various forum scripts. This must be the reason why JS menus do not load - IE10 has gotten a bit too strict. F12 tools keep complaining that something something property not supported.

    If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen,
    restart VRIM. If this screen appears again, follow

    Check to make sure any new browser add-on is properly installed.
    If this is a new installation, ask the add-on vendor
    for any add-on updates you might need.

    If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed
    browser add-ons. Disable browser performance options such as GPU acceleration
    or JIT JavaScript compiling. If you need to use No Add-ons mode to remove or
    disable components, close your browser, navigate to your Programs folder,
