Have you ever wondered how Android chokes on anything less than a dual-core, especially recent versions, but Windows Phone can run well even on just 800 MHz and 256 MB?

I have always thought that these date stamps are super ugly.

Full disclosure: Why did I get into furry stuff?

I blame my interest in Windows Phone. Remember the accidental click?

Both all started out in the off-topic section of a certain forum that I frequent. First, I have had an interest on Windows Phone, especially the Nokia Lumia 900, for a long time. I have almost always checked up on the WP thread.

Then one day, the thread about Windows Phones and the furry thread got really close together. Misclick.

Best thing ever: The "Worst Friday Ever" lasts only for two weeks. Then a week's worth of break. Then no more early morning classes... for now!

And I'm going to get a mobile broadband plan as well, seeing as I don't like the sound of no real security of the campus Wi-Fi and I'd like to get something faster. 0.7 Mbps is... underwhelming. It works, but it only just works.

No way. No way. US-only? Might as well as buy a family pack and also go replace the Office Starter on my dad's laptop with a real version, then.

I think I'll buy them when I get to Johor Bahru, since my billing address is not within Singapore. Maybe then, it'll show me the Malaysian site instead of Singapore's, and I'll be able to use my card.

Burning platforms are the best thing to happen to a company producing lacklustre products.

I think I can have the phone last through the day fairly easily.

I noticed that my old phone can do Wi-Fi tethering for half a day easily as long as I don't turn on the screen.

Funny thing is, if it had the Windows Phone 7 button layout, it'd end up becoming the only 6.5 device upgradable to 7.x. Too bad it doesn't.

OEM skinning was slow probably made obvious on this phone, as almost all traces of the aging underpinnings were obliterated by the Sense skin. Yup, it started there....

Swipe left, tap and hold on unwanted bloatware, uninstall. In fact, I nuked every single thing that I didn't want - all installed by carrier. Try doing that with iOS or Android. (Maybe this is the reason why carriers don't like Windows Phone?)

The internal modem that we replaced with a faster, external modem, allowed us to use our Mac as a telephone. I don't know where I can find the application that gave us that ability, but it was awesome to take and place calls using our computer.

I wonder if I can do the same with my ThinkPad, considering its PC network card doubles as a fax/modem...

I see why they didn't bother with web font support in the phone browser. Why download them when you have almost every font out there? Office fonts, web safe fonts, whatever... Seems like they got everything for the most part. Then again, this is Microsoft.

Yeah, I remember the days of dial-up. No fond memories to go along with those days, but hey, the 1990's were a period of technological discovery for my family; we got on "the grid" in 1998, and we were on our third Macintosh at the time. Seems like you can get a whole lot of mileage even when you're stuck with only 16 channels and zero sample interpolation. It's probably the one DS game that doesn't have the samples sound lacking or aliased.

Even though the original DS radio is 802.11b, it's bottlenecked severely. Expect only dozens of kilobytes for it. The DSi and newer models have a real Wi-Fi radio for 802.11g transmissions.
