So did you ever look into RCT3DS?

Also on the other forums I go on I've seen a lot of spam bots lately, I'm not sure if that's good in term of our security or bad in our terms of popularity.

As for the laptop thing, it's best that you have at least a laptop with a multi-touch edge-detecting trackpad. All Windows 8 laptops and convertibles have that. Then you could think of it as a tiny touch-non-screen.

Too many crashes. Maybe I'll have better luck with a real laptop. MacBooks are not yet updated for true support for Windows 8 - seems like there's some driver incompatibilty.

Well, it's official: I'm back to Windows 98 with the unofficial Service Pack 2 installed... I've finally seen what Wikipedia meant about the instability with Millennium Edition. Fortunately, all my data still remains on my CompactFlash card, so having to reinstall an OS wasn't all that painful.

I feel like quoting the Microsoft Research report about computer hardware failure, but I'm lazy. Anyway, according to the report, if a storage device reports a failure, the chances of getting a second error within the next month rises at least a hundred times, and then it only goes up from there.

Yeah, I had to download the proper video drivers for the ThinkPad and then transfer them to a floppy for easy retrieval... Otherwise I'd have been stuck with 16-color 640x480 on a screen that can support up to 800x600 at True Color. And for that, you gotta love PCMCIA CompactFlash adapters.

Other than that trivial issue, I have yet to run into any stability problems that Wikipedia reports about Windows Millennium. And realizing that Millennium Edition is basically the home-oriented version of Windows 2000, so far I'm loving the appearance of the desktop.

Apparently, microSD cards can survive laundry day. I found my 2 GB microSD card in the bottom of my dryer, and when I plugged it into my memory card reader, Windows XP actually recognized it without a problem.

I also found out that my ThinkPad can go up to Windows ME, and I thought it couldn't run anything newer than Windows NT 4.0.

The Old New Thing can be funny in a way.

    Quote:
During the Windows 2000 project, we did something very similar. To test Plug and Play and to test the Driver Verifier, we created the "USB Cart of Death". We started with a 2 level cart similar to what you'd see in a library.

About ten 8port hubs were wired together, and then every port was filled with some different type of USB device. A USB steering wheel adorned the back of the cart, and a USB radio provided the antenna. Two cameras were one the front. All power went to a USB UPS. The entire cart, completely mobile, came down to two cables (power, USB). The final USB cable was plugged into a USB PCMCIA card.

We'd plug in the card into a laptop, watch the OS start up the 50 or so devices on it, and then (before or after it finished) we'd uncerimoneously yank the PCMCIA card. If a blue screen occured or the Driver Verifier detected a bug, the appropriate developer would be asked to look at the machine. In the meantime, the card would be wheeled to the next laptop, in hopes of finding a different bug.
Also, I see that they did try 255 devices at the same time.

I think Bulbapedia to be incomplete these days compared to Serebii. The editing policy, while well-reasoned, seems to get in the way. The APNG policy is bonkers, though. (No, no matter what happens, IE, Chrome, Safari, and pretty much every modern mobile browser that isn't Opera won't bother.)
