What region?

2 Attachment(s)
Several threads were merged together. This thread is now for Pokémon X/Y mysteries and speculation AFTER the games' releases.

Ohhhh boy. All you Ruby/Sapphire remake speculators might enjoy this one. In the Couriway Town Hotel, this hiker can be found on the second floor commenting about how we will see his region "in due time." This doesn't confirm Ruby/Sapphire remakes, or any remakes period, but it does state that we will see a new region soon. It could even be a hint at Gen VII for all we know.

Edit: It appears like you have to speak to him over a period of several days to eventually get an item to be used in an "upcoming" region. I'll try to post his dialog for each day to see what happens.

What are your theories?

Magmaster12 October 18, 2013 05:57:41 AM

Just stop right now.

They make as many references to other regions as do to Hoenn all these hints are completely meaningless and I'm starting to get sick of them. If they decide to make remakes they will that's it.

Cat333Pokémon October 18, 2013 10:32:06 AM

I know, I made a comment the other day about how they reference all regions equally. I just wanted to tease the RS remake folks. :P

Partypooper.

Hm, I don't see the guy in the hotel anymore.

He must've moved back to Hoenn briefly for a cameo! :P

Pokémon X/Y Mysteries

A while ago, this picture leaked. Eventually, everything on the list was confirmed real, save three.

Serebii accidentally put these pages up a little early.

Along with details of a new move. And these Pokemon are definitely real, you can request them on the GTS without fail.

Cat333Pokémon October 22, 2013 01:44:31 PM

At least this confirms we can check for Pokémon names with the GTS. :P

There are now Volcanions everywhere :3

Nevertheless, I'm excited we are finally getting Fire/Water and Psychic/Ghost typings.

Magmaster12 October 22, 2013 02:40:21 PM

Three Event Legendaries Names

Hey remember those names that I posted that turned out to be true?

Well it turns out THREE of them haven't been confirmed!

Diancie, Volcanion, and Hoopa there's a chance these are the names of the three unrevealed legendary event pokemon.

Also if you put in these names on GTS the pokemon will still pop up.

Hm, it's pretty interesting to note the messes Serebii has gotten himself in regarding these leaks. I remember the huge information embargo when Black/White were initially getting leaked. Anyway, he listed a move called "Light of Ruin" that was yanked quite rapidly.

Here's an image and page capture someone snagged before it was yanked. (Hope I don't get asked to yank these too.)

Sunny October 22, 2013 11:46:04 PM

Not sure if this has been said yet or not...
but Matsuda also made a tweet regarding the amount of pokemon in this game. It went something like...

"I understand some of you are dissapointed at how many pokemon we put in this game, but don't worry. We still have some surprises in store... @^@"

Something like that~ The goofy emoticon too.
Mmm but yea. They'll probably find someway to leak more pokemon in.

It's very fake. He made no tweet on that date, and he never tweets in English.

Everything keeps getting more mysterious. :P

kakashidragon October 23, 2013 11:05:30 AM

Yeah i seen this hoopa name in the gts yesterday i was like wtf pokemon is that? Then i tryed entering the name and it worked but none were found.

kakashidragon October 23, 2013 11:28:56 AM

Creepy ghost girl in lumios city!

Ok a friend of mine that i added on my game (he was a random passby person) he said something about a ghost girl in this building in lumios city where the kanto's fighting dojo guy is on the 2nd floor of the building. So i went and see what he was talking about and sure enough, when i went to the 2nd floor the games flickers a few times and ranadom Hex character girl shows up behind me, she didnt even really walk she sort of floated (her feet dont move but are in 1 place animation) then after she walked past me she was gone. Has anyone else seen this?

RotomGuy October 23, 2013 11:31:03 AM

Bring her a Rotom, she gives you a Rare Candy.

kakashidragon October 23, 2013 11:34:17 AM

I heard that if do she gives u that, im gonna try that later then.

Magmaster12 October 23, 2013 11:39:44 AM

Some people think it could have something to deal with an event legendary.

kakashidragon October 23, 2013 11:45:35 AM

I googled this up and alot of other forums/sites say its part of some story history from a past game, like the stange house in B/W2.

RotomGuy October 23, 2013 11:50:50 AM

Lumiose City has other... odd things in it.

The Train Station board has a note saying "I can't come right now. Meet in the usual place."

Something is happening in Lumiose.

kakashidragon October 23, 2013 12:00:16 PM

I wounder if ghost girl died in the elevater or something? (people say the girl waiting for in the hotel for the elevater is the ghost girl)

TurtwigX October 23, 2013 12:15:27 PM

It was a nice creep factor, but it didn't replace the disappointment that was the Scary House. The dude asked for a tip for a really bad story. Egh.

I find it very odd how they put a lot of emphasis on something so minor. I have a nagging feeling that Hoopa has something to do with that house.

I know there are people around town who are supposed to meet up at one plaza, but the other person is hanging out in the wrong one. I have no idea if this is related.

Also, there are those empty alleys that seem eerie. I know they have a use, but it's still unnerving.

kakashidragon October 23, 2013 01:04:22 PM

IDK but this game has more creepy things so far than others in the series.

If you don't pay the taxi driver, he'll corner you in the alleyway and battle you.

Flower power attack? Neat. It kinda makes me wonder what this "Eternal Flower" mentioned in the description is. How very mysterious :P

Story related spoilers I guess
I assume that it refers to the poison crystal flower that Team Flare raises in Geosenge Town. I don't remember if it had a name or not, but there are no other important flowers in the game.

Or maybe it was just some sort of important flower that was cut from the game, like the Red Chain being cut as an item in 4th Gen.

If it's related to this Pokémon, I'll laugh. :P

But I think Turt's interpretation might be spot on.

Aw crap. I couldn't try to sneak Volcanion's image off the GTS website.

Attachment 5735

Uhh, wait a minute. You can fill in anything you want in the "Pokémon you want" field, even if it's not a real Pokémon. Something leads me to believe me there's absolutely no official leads on these guys and it's all a big hoax.

Attachment 5736

Also, I highly recommend reading this article:
http://www.officialnintendomagazine....kemon-x-and-y/

I have merged several mystery threads together, so things might seem a little disjoint.

kakashidragon October 24, 2013 12:06:58 PM

Well i got that one item from the hiker gives u from one of the hotels. Seems like a tiki statue or something? Anywho i wounder if we need this for an event or theres someone in the game we give it to for something. I talked to a hiker in the town with the tower of mastery and he asks to have the intreging stone for a sun stone, so maybe its for something like that.

Oh boy, we've got a secret move: Hold Back. It can be found by using Metronome. This little gem is on the Vs. Recorder (turn 1): 56ZG-WWWW-WWWX-TMA8.

The video was caught by this guy.

Edit: Here's another with a move called Happy Hour (turn 11) by the same guy: HK5W-WWWW-WWWX-TL88.

kakashidragon October 25, 2013 11:30:20 AM

I read somwhere (i think on serebii) that those moves are event moves that will probly be on some event pokemons. I know thay happy hour they say it doubles prize money after battles when used, not sure about the move hold back though.

Light of Ruin sounds like it would belong to Diancie.

Sub-zero October 25, 2013 08:35:54 PM

I wanna do this stuff while I listen to Lavender Town's theme. Without headphones cause then I might end up eating brains or something crazy.

The names come from trademarks registered a while back. The reason why we can confirm they exist is due to this:
When you search for a Pokemon on the GTS that doesn't actually exist, for example: Zsaber, the game has to take a moment to search for this Pokemon. However if you search for a Pokemon that exists, in this case: Hoopa, the game will instantly go back to the previous screen (because in this case noone has one).

The other reason we know they exist is because we can see people asking for them on the GTS. If you ask for a Pokemon that doesn't exist on the GTS, for example again, Zsaber, your offer won't be seen by others on the GTS. If you ask for a Pokemon that does exist then obviously others can see the offer.

Cat333Pokémon October 26, 2013 10:17:29 AM

Ooh, okay. That's pretty interesting.

Cat333Pokémon October 27, 2013 02:20:11 AM

Has it yet been confirmed by any official sources that items will not be able to be sent from previous games to X/Y? If so, I found this interesting bit on page 384 of the official guidebook:
Quote:

In addition to the thirteen Berries that can only be cultivated through mutation, another fourteen Berries do not appear in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, and can be obtained only by trading them from other regions.
Trading items (specifically berries) from other regions? If items cannot be brought forward, that's a pretty solid confirmation of something other than BW/B2W2 being compatible with X/Y, or at least another region.

Also, there is mention of the Strange Souvenir backpacker on page 397. His homeland is listed as an "unknown region."

TurtwigX October 27, 2013 04:13:53 AM

Well, it doesn't always HAVE to be a handheld thing. This could be the new Orre of Gen VI. I've always wanted to go back to the main series styled gameplay on a home console.

Magmaster12 October 27, 2013 05:28:55 AM

Would they seriously do a DLC update so XY could be compatible with future generations?

Cat333Pokémon October 27, 2013 10:59:37 AM

I really don't know, but they'd probably have to decide between doing that and doing a third version.

kakashidragon October 27, 2013 03:09:32 PM

Be cool if they did a DLC that allows u to go to another region, even it was another sevi islands kinda thing.
