New Year's Resolution v2013

So what were your New Year's Resolution for 2012 and how did it go? What are your solutions for 2013 that you hope you won't be part of the 75% who quits after the first month?

As for me, my main resolutions were that I get out of the house more and start exploring the world and be less of a picky eater. I think I have succeeded in both of those as I have put lots of miles in my car engine and that I actually look forwarded to trying new places around town and what people make.

Course, some of my failures were trying to lose weight and get more active. Hopefully that will be a resolution that will succeed since my school is very hilly and I am inspired to do so. I also hope to document more of my road trips on video with time lapse videos that I plan to do in the future.

Maybe doing scientific research as a college freshmen wouldn't be so bad either...

What about you all?

NismoZ December 28, 2012 11:11:27 AM

I've completely forgotten what my 2012 resolutions were.

But for 2013, I actually have an idea for once. I'm sure at least a few people here are aware of how positive my personality usually is. Yeah... I only really act like that on VR. My resolution will be to stop being such a jackass outside of VR.

TediousRamen December 28, 2012 11:54:57 AM

My 2012 resolution was to not make resolutions. 8-)

Reuniclus December 28, 2012 12:40:54 PM

I don't think I had a resolution for 2012.

For 2013 though, I think one of my resolutions will be to get to know someone a lot more this year than last year.

Cat333Pokémon December 28, 2012 12:52:51 PM

I had a resolution, and I think I did keep it: to be more friendly and relax more to avoid being too stressed out.

I'll need to think about my 2013 resolution. I'll try to have it posted by New Year's Eve.

TurtwigX December 28, 2012 12:58:19 PM

Oh God, it is the end of the year. Just like in my 9th Grade year, I have a list of 10 resolutions to do, since I don't think 1 resolution is enough for 365 days.
  1. Build up my self confidence.
  2. Be more studious.
  3. Spend time alone doing productive things.
  4. Branch out music library widely.
  5. Learn how to cook more things than just omelettes and rice.
  6. Get a real job or something.
  7. Get over my fear of strangers and talk to people more.
  8. Get a girlfriend, you loser. Lolno. Finally achieve that dream of a 4.0.
  9. Leave The Past Behind.
  10. And for something brought over from my last list, stop swearing so damn much. (Failing alreadyyyy~ ;D)

This list will probably grow and shrink as it normally does all the way until January bells start ringing.
Oh yeah, and I had no resolutions for 2012. I didn't feel like making any.

My New Year's Resolutions for 2013...

1. Get hired somewhere, anywhere...I freaking need a job
2. Figure out what the heck I want to do with my life, even if it's just for the short term
3. Get a bed to sleep on at night
4. Try new foods
5. Attempt to be less anti-social (I have the least amount of faith in this resolution)

Quadcentruo December 28, 2012 01:14:21 PM

Can't remember my 2012 resolution for the life of me.

My 2013 resolution is to be a more sociable person. Being more social is something everyone can use.
Also, to stop switching "n" and "g" when typing anything that ends in "ing".

PureAurorae December 28, 2012 01:24:27 PM

Woah never really made a proper resolution but here you go:

1. Try to go out a bit more.
2. Put more effort into my school work.
3. Take up a few clubs.
4. Get to know more more people, whether it be IRL or on VR.
5. Try to be a bit better behaved in some classes. :o

My 2012 resolutions.. I think they were to;
1: Try not to break the laptop I got for Christmas- Broken a LONG time ago, but just got this new one.
2: Not lose another match in my eighth grade year in Wrestling- Achieved (y)
3: Make more friends- Achieved.
4: Honor Roll in every quarter this year- Achieved.

There were probably a lot more...

My 2013 Resolutions;

1: Honor Roll in every Trimester
2: Make more friends
3: Never lose another match in my freshman year for wrestling
4: Not to break this MacBook Pro I received for Christmas
5: Not let my relationship/relationship status affect my life completely
6: Stay in touch with my old school friends, even if I go to a new school

There are probably others, but these are what I'm thinking of for now

My 2012 resolution is to get off the computer, create epic memories in my senior year in high school so I can remember them when I get old, and stay active. Except for the computer, I achieve my resolution.

My 2013 resolution will be:

1. Get off the computer more often
2. Interact more people in college
3. Find an internship or volunteer
4. Continuing to search for my own identity and letting myself determining who I am. Not by society, my family, or my school. I will not let anyone shaping me up as a desirable person according to their values.
5. Continue to stay active in college.
6. Keep in touch with my family and old friends by email or phone.
7. Have a B average in my classes.

I don't even remember what my 2012 resolution was. It was most likely related to eating better and exercising more. If so, I still am eating somewhat better than I was [not as much fast food as the past year] and getting decent exercise [I blame work for that, having to move around up to 50 pounds worth of stuff at a time], so I'm fairing very well.

Resolutions for 2013:
1) Spend more time on myself rather than solely on others.
2) Keep at my resolutions from last year

Yoshi648 December 28, 2012 08:30:25 PM

In the end, everyone's resolution is what Sonic says.

JDxImpetus December 28, 2012 10:51:54 PM

2012 wasn't as Eventful as I wanted..and I can't even recall my previous Resolution
so here are my new Resolutions.
1. Spend more time with my Family
2. Improve my Conversing skills as well as Public speaking
3.Stop Being too Negative
4. Attain a 3.3 GPA or above during 2nd Semester

The Spirit of Time December 29, 2012 12:18:23 AM

I am not sure if I had a resolution for 2012, so I better skip it.

As for 2013, I think my resolution consists of:
-Continue to work out more.
-Achieve highest grades in my A-levels.
-Achieve the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Fubab_107 December 30, 2012 09:51:09 AM

I don't think I ever made one. I just found that I was never going to do them anyway, so I just stopped doing it.

7dewott8 December 30, 2012 01:40:49 PM

I don't do these. Well I guess I should make one.
RIGHT?!
Okay so...
I guess maybe write fanfiction and get as good as I can? Yeah that seems good.
I'll put that down for my artwork as well >3>

Cat333Pokémon December 31, 2012 02:42:45 PM

I decided that I'm going to attempt to better myself towards a beneficial future, one not just for myself but also for my friends. I want to be a good person towards them.

Now for something SOLID I can actually say I did without it being dubious:
I will complete this project and become a better battler.

Aquablast December 31, 2012 07:44:28 PM

To become the best Trombone player that I can be.

Twiggy January 1, 2013 01:24:05 AM

Do not fail in anything for the first year for university. (For the record, I'm holding up very well with regard to this.)
Watch at least 24 movies in a proper movie theatre. (2012? Just one.)
Be way more social, both online and offline. (This should be a cinch...)
