WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

Ningamer August 2, 2011 01:33:26 AM

What, you've never tried on a midget-crap sweater?

It's rather cosy, I must say.

What is this I don't even...

PHANTOMxTRAINER August 2, 2011 08:45:53 AM

Don't bring up my past!!!!!! D: Darumaka... I miss you already..

A'bom August 2, 2011 09:01:35 AM

I don't see what's so wrong with it. If I'm cold, and I see a darumaka drop the rock or berry or whatever it's holding (granted the little thing doesn't try to pick it back up and keep it), I'm gonna pick up that rock/berry/whatever and hug it to stay warm!
:trollfaec:

Leaftail August 2, 2011 09:03:13 AM

Knew about this before the games came out in America (heck I think I might've known about this before they came out in Japan)

I wonder if they did that with Darmanitan...?

I believe this comic applies here

Luxray13579 August 2, 2011 09:27:45 AM

That's hot. :trollfaec: Aaaanyways. That's completely weird. I'd rather not put droppings in my clothes. To keep warm or not.

SpikyEaredPichu96 August 2, 2011 06:48:46 PM

Yeah, I remember this... Not my favorite pokedex entry. Give me a nice, warm, clean sweatshirt and a pair of hand-knit fingerless mittens any day.

FreezeWarp August 3, 2011 12:49:56 AM

Haha, I never look at the entries (not lately, anyway). That's hilarious xD

...What's really bad is I think it was intentional. ...I mean, what's the alternative?

Cat333Pokémon August 3, 2011 01:33:49 AM

For kicks, I translated the Japanese White entry.

Because Darumaka's feces are hot, people of ancient times put their bodies into their pockets to warm up.

("Pockets" can also be translated as "bosoms.")

Seems the Japanese version fixes the antecedent problem in the English version ("them" = the Darumaka or the droppings?). They put Darumaka into their clothes. Still, the first bit means people purposely had Darumaka pooping on them.

Magmaster12 August 3, 2011 03:44:36 AM

I don't get what the big deal is, I'm sure during the Ice Age the Native Americans did the same thing.

FreezeWarp August 3, 2011 04:04:39 AM

Shocker value, mainly :P

what if all you had were those and your life dependid on it, would you put them in your cloths. What if you had those and you had to start a fire?
I would only do it if my life dependid on it.

Kaveman August 5, 2011 04:53:26 PM

I like the warmth, so I would Probably do it either way. As long as it meant not being cold. Cold is bad...

Elaine August 11, 2011 01:50:50 PM

While it is quite gross... It might've been quite essential to the survival of early humans to keep themselves warm by using animal droppings. As long as you don't eat it, you'd probably be okay...

Kaveman August 11, 2011 06:21:21 PM

Also, if you grew up in a society where it is ok, you probably would not think twice about it.

Justjack91 August 13, 2011 03:34:58 PM

Why not just have Darumaka use Ember.

:-|

Kaveman August 13, 2011 04:56:42 PM

Because poop makes way more sense. :)

Elaine August 13, 2011 06:11:20 PM

And maybe you could get some corn or some other hard-to-digest object to eat. Well that's kind've gross, but the truth sometimes hurts.

Shadow August 14, 2011 04:23:38 AM

I don't really check Pokédex entries, but I must say this is quite interesting. :P

Kaveman August 14, 2011 09:07:45 AM

I have OCT (Obsessive Compulsive Tendencies) with some things, and reading all the Pokedex entries is a must for me.

teamplasma October 16, 2011 06:37:56 AM

People of Unova put droppings in here clothes!

So I has browsing the other (and not as well kept) pokemon communities, and I stumbled upon this... (I will give you a quick screen shot)

...Please read the Darumaka's Dex entry for Pokemon White Version. What I say sis go to Walmart and by some of those hand warmers (Freaks)! So I just wanted to share that with y'all because I thought it was funny.

The Spirit of Time October 16, 2011 06:43:11 AM

Indeed, it is strange. I recall there were other entries that were unfamiliar.

Really? I will have to look for some. I will probably look in the Unova Pokemon part of Bulbapedia. If I do find one I will post it.

Check Kanto's. They were the most hilarious.

teamplasma October 16, 2011 08:43:20 AM

The Pokemon Yellow Version Dex entry for GEo dude reads

Yellow:
Commonly found near mountain trails, etc. If you step on one by accident, it gets angry.

I was like... "Really now!"
