Nitrogen's large frame largely outdid that of the golden Hoothoot's. Despite such bulky frame, it moved faster than the bird! It glared over the bird, giving off a menacing smile that chilled Hreoth down to the bone. However, Hreoth stood his ground and stared back with its ominous, big, circular eyes. Thus, Nitrogen went in with the first attack. Within its mouth, it began to form a chilly wind within. Even getting near Nitrogen was near freezing, so Hreoth stayed as far away as possible. However, it was too late; Nitrogen let out a cold, frigid breath that chilled Hreoth down to the bone. "Thank goodness for the Calm Mind!" Hreoth thought as he shivered in response to the frigid wind - an automatic critical hit!

Hreoth was cold now, but it was dire that he come off with a damaging blow. But in order for that, he would have to put a stop to Cryogonal...so putting it to sleep might do the trick! Hreoth's large, bulging eyes emitted a strange, sleepy and slow wave of energy. Not blinking his eyes, the waves slowly made their way towards the giant snowflake. Nitrogen didn't appear to see anything; all the better for Hreoth! The waves hit Nitrogen without it noticing, and slowly it fell to the ground and started to snore.

Cryogonal was fast asleep, its snoring loud and deep. Though the trainer commanded a Hail attack from it, the giant snowflake was totally unresponsive!

This was Hreoth's chance! He flew close to the sleeping snowflake, and his eyes started glowing a deep, neon red. In tandem, the snowflake's eyes also glowed red. Hreoth peered into Cryogonal's dreams and was horrified to see it freezing Hoothoot left and right. Hreoth found his dreams easy to manipulate, however, changing it in reverse - now, Hreoth's were using Fire attacks on the snowflake, and it began to flee! This was easier to absorb; now, Hreoth feasted upon Nitrogen's dreams, and mm, was it tasty for the golden Hoothoot!
