Dark started off the battle. Taking his 3 heads, he leaned back a little. Opening all 3, a small orange energy fired out of each one. They flew high up into the air. Steadily climbing, they all eventually collided at around the middle of the field. Upon collision, a huge explosion was created. Balls of fire rained from the sky. Voltiger desperately tried to dodge them, but couldn't, and was hit by not one, but two of the fireballs. It was quite possibly a critical hit.

Voltiger had a strategy in mind. That Hydreigon was going fast, but not for long. Running all along the field, Electrike built up a static charge. Jumping up into the air, he latched onto Hydreigon and let loose. While the resulting shock was rather weak, it was just enough. Losing altitude, Dark crashed hard into the ground, struggling to move. Voltiger had paralyzed Dark!

Now that Dark was immobilized for the time being, Voltiger began his work. Again running at Dark, Voltiger's white teeth began turning a bright blue. It also seemed to be condensing the air around it. Knowing Dragons hated the cold, Voltiger charged forward. Hydreigon could only watch from his crater. Voltiger again latched on, and he buried his fangs deep into Dark. Dark screamed; the cold now surging through his body was harsh and nearly unbearable.

Dark looked at Voltiger with hatred. Dark still felt strength within him. He took off. Rearing back, all 3 heads opened once more. A small energy formed in all 3 mouths. The shots fired off in succession. 1, 2, - there was no third. Crippled by paralysis, Dark fell once again into a little crater caused by the previous landing. The 2 shots careened off course, away from the battlefield. When they met, the explosion was visible, but it only looked like a weak firework.
