Frogger noticed that Fross had retreated, so she figured it would be a good idea to not try to attract Jolty, considering they were the same gender. Instead, she built up a small stream of water and allowed it to float around herself, creating a nourishing ring around her body.

Taps could finally smell fresh air from under all the grimy ground. She emerged quite forcefully and suddenly, catching Frogger off guard. The Tympole's small body was easily flung into the air. Taps took a deep breath; finally, she was back on land!

Happy decided to ease off on the offensive and restore her depleting health. This way, she'd have more time to go on the offensive. She gathered light from the sun; it was quite rejuvenating. She felt really refreshed; who knew that a hot, blazing sun could be so relaxing!
