Today I found a Game Boy Pocket and Sega Game Gear at Goodwill for $8 and $20 respectively. I remember having a Game Gear when I was little, so that thing was a must have for me. They even both came with batteries that work! (Surprising, for as much power as the Game Gear sucks out of them...)

Hope you're able to get sound out of the Game Gear. The audio stopped working in mine, so I got rid of it. I kind of regret it, but oh well. Last edited by Seiji J. Konokama; May 11, 2013 at 07:17:31 AM. |

I bought an original Game Boy Advance in excellent condition from a garage sale for $10. It had Ice Age: The Meltdown in the slot (which isn't bad for a movie adaptation).

At "The World's Largest Garage sale" I got 1 working original Xbox, 1 broken Xbox, about 26 games (mostly crappy sports titles), empty game cases, 3 controllers (only 1 end), and all the necessary hook ups for $40. I was happy.

I went to GameStop today and got Megaman X Collection, Phantom Brave, and Sly 2 for $26 (Buy 2 get one free). I went to a flea market later and got Zombies Ate My Neighbors for $25. Also, Soul Eater: The Complete Series came in the mail today. I ordered that from Amazon, since it was $26, as opposed to the usual price of $60. So, I guess it was all worth it.

I guess I'll be the first electronics hobbyist to post something like this...
Bought a pocket-sized multimeter at RadioShack for around $30. While it may not be an actual video game purchase per se, the meter will certainly be useful when diagnosing consoles, checking backup batteries, and finding wiring faults in things like AV cables. Any multimeter is a must for those who like to maintain or modify game consoles, or for people who just love to build circuits. |

Got Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light a few days ago(I've only played around in the previous onwer's profile, I like the presentation), and just yesterday bought Kung Fu Rabbit from the Wii U eshop(Not the hardest game, but still fun and a great deal for only 5 bucks.)

Here's some irony for you:
The other day I stopped at the pawnshop for the heck of it, and I saw another copy of Tekken 2 there, and the owner wanted $3 for it... I turned my heart away from it, knowing I didn't have much cash left in my wallet. Then today, I went downtown to pick up some bread (gotta have my turkey sandwiches... XD), and on the way back, I stopped at a yard sale. Turns out they had PS1 and PS2 games for 50˘ apiece. So I ended up getting Tekken 1, 2, and 4, as well as Tekken Tag Tournament, all for the $2 I had gotten back from buying the bread. Then my brother comes over, and gives me his copy of Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty, to play on a laptop I have yet to purchase. Looking at the minimum requirements, it seems I have a pretty good chance at playing it on my MacBook. Now, how is that for an awesome day of video game pickups? Last edited by Seiji J. I (finally) used my $25 gift card to GameStop over the weekend and got three games:
Jak and Daxter 1 - $2 Star Wars Battlefront 2 - $5 Final Fantasy VII: Derge of Cerberus - $14 Would've had just enough for another cheap game, but I bought these games via online order, so GameStop had to charge shipping on something they'll take a week to deliver. |

While this is not a video game itself, it is a video game related thing! So I figured to why not go ahead and share. since it's like, directly related to the game and what not. I just beat Bioschock Infinite today (ohhhhmaaigawwwd it's one of my favorite games ever, can't wait to get a PC powerful enough to own my own copy of it and play now). And so I found this lovely lady today and figured I should get her. Now to get my other favorite, Songbird. Hopefully not being the $120 one from the special edition game bundle... bleeeh.

Last night (thankfully right before the super-cell storm hit, so I got out of the mall in time), I splurged a bit too much and bought my LONG awaited copy of PMD3 (Gates to Infinity) as well as Luigi's Mansion 2. (Also got a Bioshock Infinite shirt too)

Galaxy Tablet 2 7" android tablet: $130
Zelda: Skyward Sword: $40 Black Wiimote Plus: $35 Why do they even sell Skyward Sword without at least a Wiimote Plus adapter? Kinda redundant in my opinion. Last edited by Shade; June 4, 2013 at 07:48:29 AM. |

It's really not a purchase, but I guess you could call it video game related... My father recently ordered a 16 GB SD card for his camera, only to find out the SD card is not compatible with his camera (SD card is a Class 6, while I believe his camera is only Class 4). So, he ended up giving the SD card to me, and I plan on using it with either my own camera, or my Wii... or maybe even with my PS2.

Just got Animal Crossing New Leaf for $35.
The really scary part? I got the digital version of it, not the physical copy that I always prefer. This just seems like one of the few games that would actually be nice just to always have on the system. |

I just ordered a digital copy of New Leaf from Best Buy. Waiting for it download to now. Also, I ordered some Fullmetal Alchemist DVDs. Those came today. And I went to Niagara Falls Comic Con on Saturday. I bought a ticket in, an autograph from the Green/White Ranger, an Umbreon plushie, and a Gurren Lagann model kit. It was a fun time.

Because I saw it on sale for the low, low price of $2.49 (plus it caught my eye due to making another game I bought for a friend 75% cheaper than what I paid for just for him), I recently got Chantelise on Steam. It was a daily deal on Steam and I happily parted ways with a key just to purchase this game.
Fairly simple - controls (with the exception of lock-on and camera related controls), combat, towns (or rather, "town"), and story are all pretty simple, but one thing caught my eye in the story that made me ask a few questions to myself (and making someone following a story ask questions is what you aim for in story-writing). I wish there would be more simple RPG games that put you in a role of a pre-built character and intricate story (like Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts), rather than have you go to complex lengths to create a character and somehow fit you into a generic story (like Neverwinter or Dragon Age: Origins). Simple character and complex story, not complex character and simple story. |

New Leaf- Best game evar! Alright, maybe not the best game, but definitely good.
EDIT: I finally got a copy of The Last Story(Only for $29.99 and NEW) at my Gamestop!!! That means I've completed my collection of OP Rainfall games! It's still sealed, and I'm looking at the beautiful case right now. One thing that I really admire is that it says "Music by Nobuo Uematsu" on the very front of the box. That really shows how great of a composer he is, respect. Anyways, I'll have a pic of the 3 together right below. So happy about this! Too bad I have a bunch of games to play before these 3, though. :I Last edited by Eagles; June 12, 2013 at 07:45:15 PM. |

I picked up a copy of Project X Zone (special edition) today. It's really fun and satisfying. The game was NOT dubbed in English for the NA release (all audio is in Japanese) , but It does have subtitles. This may be a turn-off for some, but you can just turn down the volume if it bothers you that much. The SE comes with a poster, an art booklet, and a CD with some of the games pretty awesome music.

I picked both of the Fullmetal Alchemist games for PS2 in Erie today. I also got FMA: Brotherhood Complete Collection 2 for 18, which was considerably cheaper than buying it on Amazon. I will have to track down C.C. 1 before I can watch it...

Just got Fable on Steam (it was a daily sale) a few days ago for only $4 or so. It's pretty awesome since I've not played the game for YEARS and never beat it due to my age at that time. Played the other two so it's about time I play this one and beat it now.

Oh man, I feel so sorry for you. You heave to deal with two of the worst DRMs: Steam's and Square's. But hey, at least once you make an account and actually get to the game, you can enjoy the lower-quality MIDI soundtrack they used for this version and not the original PS1 pre-rendered soundtrack. And with the Steam version's new feature, you can just auto-level your characters until you beat everything without skill or difficulty!
(if you can't tell, Vel hates this version of FF7) |

I guess I should get on the Steam sale train too. Got a total of 3 games with what was left on a debit card; Burnout Paradise ($9.99 - 50% off) and the Portal Bundle ($6.24 - 75% off), as well as the Majora's Mask OST Platinum gift from Club Nintendo. Beats the traditional 3-poster set they offer and it's my favorite Zelda game so it was pretty much a no-brainer ^^

While Apple was celebrating the 5th anniversary of the App Store's opening, they selected 5 games and 5 general apps, and offered them for free. Of the ten programs they listed, my most notable "purchases" were:
- Native Instruments Traktor DJ, a powerful virtual DJ app with lots of features. Normally $4.99 for iPhone and $19.99 for iPad. - Infinity Blade II, a gorgeous action RPG game, normally worth $6.99. |

System only PlayStation 3 (CECHG01 - 40GB) - $40 from a garage sale.
Looks like it was a GameStop refurbished system. Played PS1 games just fine as did Blu-Ray video (this isn't the backwards compatible with PS2 model, but that's alright). I've been controlling it with a USB controller until I can get actual DualShocks for it and don't have any PS3 games to test with. Beyond that though, seems to be running good so far. Currently doing a full system wipe (only 2 hours to go...). EDIT: Got a red Dual Shock 3 to go with it off eBay for $17.50 shipped. Less than $60 for a full PS3 setup, not bad. Traded in some gaming stuff I wasn't going to use/play anymore and in exchange got:
Banjo Tooie (N64) Barnstorming (2600) Freeway (2600) Official Nintendo strategy guide for Mario Kart 64 (in excellent shape with original bumper stickers!) Prima strategy guide for Conker's Bad Fur Day (in excellent shape, worth about $20-30) I also sold some other game stuff to Cat which I in turn got my first PS3 game from GameStop: Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time - new for $20 (sheeh, only out for 5 months and already had a price drop to half). |
