I'll write in this style:
Pokemon Level - Notes
Moves: __________________________________

This is the current team I use for all my Generation 4 games:

Gyarados (Shiny) Level 70 - Raised from lv 21 (How strange, my first shiny is a Magikarp), EV'd in Attack and Speed
Moves: Hyper Beam (5PP) , Hydro Pump (8PP), Dragon Rage (10PP), Ice Fang (15PP)

Mew Level 64 - Raised from Level 10, No Rare Candys
Moves: Surf (15PP), Psychic (10PP)

Feraligatr Level 61 - Raised from Level 5, No Rare Candys
Moves: Cut (30PP), Crunch (15PP), Surf (15PP), Ice Fang (15PP)

Rayquaza Level 100 - Pokérus
Moves: Extremespeed (5PP), Strength (15PP), Outrage (15PP), Fly (15PP)

Luxray Level 69 - Raised from level 3

Gyarados (Shiny) Level 70 - Raised from lv 21 (How strange, my first shiny is a Magikarp), EV'd in Attack and Speed
Moves: Waterfall , Earthquake, Dragon Dance, Ice Fang (15PP)

You said that you EV trained its Attack and Speed, making it a dangerous monster. Dragon Dance will raise its Speed and Attack even more while Waterfall is the main STAB that will knock out almost any foe. Ice Fang to defeat Dragons and other annoying Pokemon while Earthquake to defeat other Electric Pokemon that are the only threat to this Pokemon.

Mew Level 64 - Raised from Level 10, No Rare Candys
Moves: Shadow Ball, Psychic (10PP), Flame Thrower, Aura Sphere

Psychic is the main STAB move and hopefully, Mew's nature is Modest or a nature that raises Sp. Attack, as this will make Mew unstoppable. Shadow Ball is to knock out other Ghosts, Flame Thrower to knock out Insects and Aura Sphere is to get rid of Dark Pokemon. However, to learn Aura Sphere, Mew must be at level 100, therefore, in the mean time of training, you can use TM Focus Blast.

Feraligatr Level 61 - Raised from Level 5, No Rare Candys
Moves: Cut (30PP), Crunch (15PP), Waterfall, Ice Fang (15PP)

Waterfall is much better than Surf as Feraligator is a physical sweeper. Although I don't like Cut a lot, but I find no reserve.

Rayquaza Level 100 - Pokérus
Moves: Stone Edge, Extreme Speed, Outrage (15PP), Earthquake

Rayquaza is a good physical sweeper and you can use Earthquake against Electric Pokemon and Stone Edge against Ice.

Luxray Level 69 - Raised from level 3
Moves: Thunderbolt (15PP), Crunch (15PP), Thunder (10PP)

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll try these, I'm sure they'll help a lot!
(I've never really got in to competitive battling)

Clearly you aren't a competitive battler because Mew is in the Uber Tier thus cannot be used. A tip, post the natures as well, because they're important for stats..

Friendly-Competitive, so all Pokémon are allowed. And you forgot Rayquaza
I normally get 2 or 3 new additions to replace ubers every time I get a new Pokémon game. For instace, That Feraligatr is from my SoulSilver, and the one that I trained most.
As for natures, I'll try and post them later - It's 2am now, I'd have to trade some 'Mon to Platinum (So it's English), and I haven't got access to my DS at the moment. I've never paid any attention to natures until very recently.

Type wise it looks like your team has a weakness when it comes to Electric trypes, both Fraligator and Gyrados are weak to it and you don't have a type that is supper effective to that type. Move wise you don't have a diverse pool of moves to be used don't seem to cover electric or dark types, which is a major problem for Mew dark types that is. Your team does seem to have a problem with defensise and might be a problem with a pokemon that have the defences and can dish out major damage for example Metagross

You need to give Gyarados these moves Earthquake, Waterfall, and Dragon Dance and keep Ice Fang.
