My cousin just so happens to be going to NC tomorrow for a national Starcraft 2 tournament, just when Hurricane Irene hits. Although he'll be in western NC, so he's just gonna get a severe thunderstorm.
Still, though, it'll be so funny if the power goes out there in the middle of the tournament. |

Katrina stayed over Louisiana for days, and New Orleans is below sea level. That's why everything got flooded. Unless that;s your situation, a category 3 isn't bad. I went through one and we had some house damage, but it was built 10 years ago and I'm sure modern houses are stronger then that now.

I have no idea what is dubstep so...
I went to my school to get my schedule and my bus pass (The schools are no longer giving us transportation for people who live outside of the school neighborhood) and there's a really long line for both of them. I decided to get my bus pass since I can't get to school without it. It was a close call since after I got my bus pass, they stop handing out bus passes and they eill hand them out on the first day of school. Unfortunately, I didn't get my schedule since the open house was over by the time I got my bus pass. At least I know the classes I have in general before I came here. |

After reading the last couple of pages, I'm only thankful we don't get natural disasters like hurricanes or volcanic eruptions over here. Technically speaking, the area is also earthquake-free, but there have been a couple of times when the ground shook due to the aftermath of another earthquake in a not-very-far country.
Also, I'm going to start body-building pretty soon. Any tips? |

Yeah, I heard any aerobic exercise helps greatly in body-building; I guess it's a good thing that I'm a fast runner. With workouts which include push-ups, bench presses and other similar exercises, I'm hoping to achieve my goal as quickly as I can.

When you're using a bar, have a spotter. xD Lol, that's what my P.E. coach always said.
Seriously though, just try to work out everything for an hour a day, take weekends off if you want. Otherwise it isn't hard at all. Just make it a part of your routine. I got to work out at school last year for P.E. so I was lucky there, I suppose. |

No really, that is a pretty good method. Or you could take up a martial art. |

If I remember correctly, it is advisable to work-out twice a week, 45 minutes each. Rest is a vital part, since your muscles will grow while sleeping. You should also eat high-protein food an hour before working-out and then eat and hour after the work-out.

Irene has had me scared *****l*ss recently since i live within 100 miles of the jersey shore at an elevation of about 30 feet above sea level. i think the reason of my fear is explained enough in that. also because of that i may be inactive the next couple of days if my router can't be hooked up to my generator.

This brings up an interesting question: How would we know if someone died? Maybe all of the old users who no longer come here died and we just assumed they got bored and left.
