Nintendo HD in e3 2011?
Tons of rumors (more likely then NvC/Nintendo vs Capcom) have began that the Wii HD will be Nintendo's successor console:
More news here: Website here: http://wiihdrumors.com/ (I also noticed he said it might be more powerful then the Xbox 360 and PS3.....^______^ ) Last edited by Mario227; April 15, 2011 at 02:58:37 PM. |

This sounds like an excellent console. I hope the rumors about it having graphics comparable to the Xbox 360 and PS3 are true. Nintendo has great ideas for their games and consoles, but all they need now is a great graphics engine as well.

Well, yes, it is late, but it's better late than never. And besides, it's not like Nintendo would just make a whole next-generation console just for the point of updating graphics. There also has to be something else gameplay-wise put in there. (But looking through some of those posts on the site link, the controller does sound kind of weird. Maybe it'll make more sense when more info is leaked.)

Sure WiiHD sounds kinda stupid. But, I really don't think game can go farther then HD. (and 3D/ also virtual reality) And seeing Nintendo's first HD console and games. I can't to see how Mario looks. Also, Nintendo really needs to make a new Star Fox (not remade) or new F-Zero on Wii. Either that or make them on the rumored "WiiHD". |

"Tha Woi Aech-duee".
That alone gave me little hope of validity. "Hay guise, jast cahm awn daoun ta mah noo weeb-blag sa Ah caen git latsa troiffic, sa Ah ceen bay poupulah :D" That's all I heard, and that's all I can hear from this video. "Spahkulasheen" and "Rooumahs" are not uncommon from Nintendo, those secretive *******s. But they'll tell us the rumors, not some Aussie tween in a stripey beanie advertising his new blog. If a device has an HDMI port [Like the Xbox 360, PS3, or MotoDROID], it can display in glorious 1080p with stunning data streams and the lowest-possible data lag. HOWEVER If it does not have an HDMI port [Like most three/five year old computer video cards, the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube], it cannot use an HDMI. Period. Anyways, I also heard this might run on Blu-ray. I sure do hope this wasn't a late April Fools joke set to be later in April. (if so that would be really lame) |

I've heard that it's codename is Project Café, and it's going to have a controller with a 6-inch screen built-in to it, along with all the buttons you find on a DS. I've also heard it'll be in HD and play Blu-Rays.
And the Wii's component cable only renders 480p rather than 480i, that's the best the Wii can do. he Xbox 360 can display in 1080p with an HDMI cable, as can the PS3, but the PS3 has a more powerful graphics card so it has the potential to look better than the 360. |

The second half of the post however... Component cables that render above 480p exist. Just sayin'. |
