I loved Emerald. It being my only Hoenn game I don't know what its like to have Steven as the Champion. I also think it was a little to hard to beat Tate and Liza, but it gave me a reason to train harder.

Pokémon Emerald was sort of a disappointment for me, because I'd already played Pokémon Sapphire version for over one thousand hours. But still, the Hoenn games are probably my favourite Pokémon games (The only reason I bought Emerald in the first place was because of the cloning glitch).

Emerald wasn't a disappointment to me because I hadn't played Ruby or Sapphire and also because

I really love Emerald and the whole 3rd gen really.
The music is awesome(Dive/Champion themes are OMGSUPERAWESOME), the graphics are good, and the gameplay is fun. If not for anything, it's the last gen of games that let you swap out moves mid-battle...something the OCD about how moves are placed really enjoys. |

I liked Ruby and Sapphire because it was mostly straight forward to get the Pokémon league at Ever Grande, Steven was my favorite Hoenn Champ, Emerald made Rayquaza able to catch early, and the battle frontier was the distraction, Wallace became Champ, yet Steven had some high 70s in the game, he was the hardest trainer to defeat, mostly because he was mainly using steel types, my dark types can't counter that level of strength.
Ruby/Sapphire was Great Emerald was also Great |

I didn't like the fact that it was so ****ing hard to beat the Battle frontier, and when you do, all you get is a few berries. Cool. I beat the six best people in the country. Now I gots Fruit. |: (
