UPDATED: What previous generation Pokémon would you like to see?

With the two recently announced, this has been running through my mind.

Isn't it weird how some National Dex 'mons are only found AFTER the Story ends, on the east coasts of Unova, and there is no way to get there in the Main Story?

Though this probably won't happen due to the fact that everything's supposed to be all-new anyway, the least they could do is add few Previous-Gen Pokemon to the roster. At least in areas where it would make sense, for example:

• Buizel found in areas with rivers, like before Nacrene City or after Driftveil City.
• Sandshrew found in Route 4
• Among other areas like Pinwheel Forest or the Moor of Iccirus having more unique-to-area Pokemon.

...Like I said, this might not happen, and I could simply be speaking this just for an excuse to have Floatzel on my teams, but it makes better sense than just closing off an area until you have the National Dex, leaving a good chunk of the Unova region unexplored.

Now that it has been confirmed that previous Pokémon will be back, what would you like to see in Unova?

Hm, I didn't find that weird, as the idea of the game was to play a fresh new game with all new faces, similar to the original Red/Green (or Blue for non-Japanese).

Who knows? I think we might end up with some refugees from the old stuff - seeing the same old Pokémon is bound to get old someday. I think at least dozens might make the cut, unless GF says not.

Well, you do have a point. After you beat Black/White you ARE able to find some pre-gen pokemon. And this is a sequal. So shouldn't you continue the story of Black/White? It is definitely a possibility.

I think that you will be able to access the eastern part earlier in the game. Probably after you beat Elesa.

While I would enjoy having previous gen Pokemon in my party before I beat the Elite 4, I don't have high hopes for previous gens being available to catch until after you beat the E4, just like in BW1.

I'm quite certain that, new region or not, they're going to add more ways of getting pokes from previous generations like they did in HG/SS. I want the regis, they aren't catchable outside gen 3 games anymore, but I'd love some story around catching Rayquaza(yes, another one!).

Taking into account that these games are a sequel, we might find Pokémon from previous generations, as after all, this is a continuation.

I'd like to update this little thread with the fact that Older Gen Pokemon are confirmed to be in Black and White 2's Unova Dex...300 at that. Though that might seem a bit overkill, hey, whatever works.

I would love to have a Metagross on my team. It's one of my favorite Pokemon, yet I've never had it on an in-game team. And it looks like it's going to be in BW2, so that's exciting for me.
